Global container trade continues to show resilience despite ongoing tariff uncertainty and pressure on major shipping routes. The Port of Los Angeles handled 960,464 TEUs in July, its second-highest July volume on record, while neighboring Long Beach also reported one of its strongest July results.
Demand is increasingly being supported not only by traditional consumer goods but also by batteries, renewable-energy equipment and components used in manufacturing and data-center infrastructure. At the same time, congestion and infrastructure bottlenecks continue to influence shipping costs and global supply-chain planning.
